OpenNET 6000 Modules and Systems

OpenNET 6000 is a family of modules and RF devices which can be combined together into a powerful range of products for
  • Wireless Data Acquisition
  • Metering
  • Point to Point RF Links
  • Point to Point Telemetry Links with configurable outstations
  • Sitewide RF Telemetry Networks
  • Industrialised Ethernet Wireless Networks.

OpenNET 6000 combines
  • The configurability of a PLC
  • Full Ethernet Connectivity
  • Integral UHF/VHF/868/915MHz  Wireless Communications
  • Optional External Wireless Communications (140MHz to 2.4GHz)
  • GSM/GPRS Connectivity
  • Low Cost Ruggedised I/O for hardwired signals
  • DIN Rail mounting format
  • Low Cost

MiniRTU  -  The miniRTU is the smallest of the OpenNET 6000 Core modules and supports an Ethernet port, serial port and OpenNET 6000 I/O Cards - Data Sheet
MidiRTU  -  The midiRTU is the mid range unit of the OpenNET 6000 Core modules and supports an Ethernet port, two serial ports and OpenNET 6000 I/O Cards - Data Sheet
Max RTU  -  The max RTU is the top of range unit of the OpenNET 6000 Core modules and supports an Ethernet port, four serial ports and OpenNET 6000 I/O Cards - Data Sheet
The Wavenis Wireless Network can communicate using a clever mesh network between sensors, outstations and base stations to create a complete wireless data gathering network at 868Mz (UK & Europe) or 915MHz (USA and Canada.)  Ideal for metering or low cost energy management systems.
LRM + LPR 500 Module

This combination of RF modules and legacy interface allows OpenNET systems to emulate the PACSNET 3000 systems which have proved extremely reliable and useful in a wide variety of applications.

Although the 3000 sytsem is still available for clients who wish to keep commonality of spares and support, OpenNET extends the flexibility and can be used as a Master Station or Slave Station in any existing 3000 network as well as incorporating the additional features of IP Interfacing and advanced User Configuration facilities.
OpenNET modules can also talk via any RF Modem.  The Range of PACSCOM RF Modems allows networks to be created at 135 -175MhZ VHF and 350-512MhZ UHF with both licenced and deregulated options.   For use throughout Europe 868MHz Radio Modems from local suppliers may be incorporated instead.
The Range of OpenNET Input/Output Cards is designed to match a wide range of applications.  Simple DI/DO cards will handle remote monitoring and low level switching.  A special card (illustrated in an IP65 enclosure as a complete small 2DI/2DO OpenNET Outstation) is specifically designed for high power handling (250v 5 Amp ) and is ideal for direct control of remote high power of lights, pumps, machinery etc through local contactors.
To gain experience of the OpenNET features and facilities a Starter Kit is available with the basic MiniRTU and essential cables.  An optional Din Rail Mounted Mains power supply can also be included.  The pack comes with a Comprehensive CD covering all aspects of getting started and setting up your own 'Project'.
Once familiar with OpenNET it is simple to move onto the small I/O based system Starter Kit.  Available as a single unit for development purposes, the purchase of two of these kits allows the user to set up his own simple
  • Ethernet I/O subsystem
  • Point to Point Ethernet I/O Link
and with the addition of two radio modems
  • Point to Point Wireless Link
An optional Din Rail Mounted Mains power supply can also be included.  The pack comes with a Comprehensive CD covering all aspects of getting started and setting up your own 'Project'.
